Sam is licensed and certified in midwifery She is also a BSN -RN with extensive training in western herbology and nutrition. Her passion is integrative functional medicine with a focus on the whole body, the whole family and our interaction with others and the planet. She is working on her Doctorate in Nursing in Family Practice.
Mother, learner, forager, wanderer
Western Herbalist
Sam is a western herbalist and focuses on the plants in our local area first. Plants are used to keep us healthy and well and to get back on track when we are imbalanced. Medicine is used if we need acute or emergent care. In the case of an emergency Sam has extensive training and is an RN. She knows when to use holistic medicine and when it isn't the best choice.

Sam has a passion for plants and has spent over 30 years training and learning from master herbalists. Sam started in the early 90s taking classes from Rosemary Gladstar in Vermont and has trained with local herbalist Ginger Webb in the last few years. With many more along the way! Learning is a life long passion.She is a natural dyer and makes perfumes.

She believes in evidenced based care, informed consent, listening to her clients as they are experts on their own bodies as well as learning all she can about the world She loves to forage in nature as well as ferment, can and cook.
